Gaming on Macs has never been consistently good or bad. There are four fantastic MacOS games from Supergiant Games. We would love to go into great length about Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, but we’re going to focus on Supergiant’s most recent film, Hades.
Roguelike, isometric action game Hades is situated in the realm of the title character. You take on the role of Zagreus, a convoluted Hades “son” attempting to leave the Underworld (the game will explain more).
As you keep dying and dying again, you can return Darkness, Gems, and other resources to buy upgrades that will make you more potent for subsequent runs.
Hades is a hack-and-slash game, and it does it exceptionally well. No matter how often you defeat the same foe, Supergiant’s hectic pace keeps each battle interesting. Hades uses the Boon system to add variety outside of the main gameplay. As your run progresses, you’ll be able to accept Boons from various Greek Gods and Goddesses, which also give you new bonuses and enhanced damage. Even better, the Switch version of Hades is accessible and allows cross-saving.

Without a doubt, Cuphead’s visual appeal is what makes the game popular. 10. The Witness
The Witness was developed patiently by Jonathan Blow, the creator of the critically acclaimed independent game Braid, but the wait was well worth it. It’s a game that only someone as imaginative as Blow could hope to make, expanding on the foundation of older adventure classics like Myst and Riven. It combines a singular, magnificent universe with progressively challenging riddles and philosophical reflections.
